McLaren MP4-2
The McLaren MP4-22 is a carbon fiber McLaren chassis powered by a 2.4 liter normally aspirated Mercedes Benz V8 with a seven speed sequential gearbox. The car was driven in 2007 by Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton and recorded 8 wins including the Grand Prix of Monaco, Malaysia, Canada, United States, Europe, Hungary, Italy and Japan.
Corsa Motorsports LMP1
The Corsa Motorsports LMP1 was the world’s first hybrid electric powered car to ever finish on the podium at the highest level of endurance racing. The car is a carbon fiber Zytek chassis that originally competed under the Zytek banner finishing 8th in the 2006 24 Hours of LeMans. Utah-based Corsa purchased the car converting it to a hybrid electric using a 4 liter Zytek V8 in combination with a 65 kw electric motor utilizing kinetic energy recovery (KERS) producing 750 hp mated with a sequential gearbox. As a hybrid the car finished on the podium of the New England Grand Prix at Lime Rock and the Monterey Sports Car Championships at Laguna Seca. The car’s innovation received awards from the Department of Energy and the EPA with the Wall Street Journal labeling the car “The World’s Baddest Hybrid”.
Team Kool Green
The Team Kool Green car is a carbon fiber Reynard chassis powered by a 2.65 liter 32-valve DOHC turbo-charged V8 Honda engine producing over 800 hp. The car was driven by Paul Tracy over three years and was the 2000 winner of the Long Beach Grand Prix. The Motorola 220 at Road America, the Molson Indy race in Vancouver.
1968 FORD SHELBY GT 500KR
The 1968 Shelby GT500KR is one of produced in 2008 and one of only in the Meadowlark
Yellow color. The car began life as a line production Mustang that was sent to Carroll Shelby in Los Angeles fitted with a version of Ford’s 428 engine known as the Cobra Jet. Shelby made many modifications producing the GT 500 KR (King of the Road). The Cobra jet was rated at 335 horsepower but with 440 foot-pounds of torque at 3400 RPM the actual the horsepower was significantly higher. Shelby's KR engine was left stock adding die-cast aluminum valve covers with Cobra Le Mans to note Ford's FE engine family victory over Ferrari at Le Mans in 1966 and1967.
2008 FORD SHELBY GT 500KR
The 2008 Shelby GT500KR is the 40th anniversary commemoration of the 1968 GT500 KR. The car also began life as a line-production and then shipped to Shelby’s facilities in Las Vegas where the 540-horsepower 5.4-liter supercharged V-8 was transformed and re-badged as a GT500 KR making the car a Shelby manufactured car by record. Total production was 1,571 units matching that of the original 1968 GT500KR.
